In the West there is the Jordanditch from North to South with a length of 400 km. The deepest point is the Dead Sea (395m below sea-level). In the centre you find the mountainous country (heights up to 1754 m Djabal Ram). In the East there is a desert with Wadis. In the Northwest you see the steppe and bush land.
The most impressive surface in Jordan is the Jordanditch. Its limited by high mountains (up to 1000-1600 m). The ditch is 410 km long and between 6 and 12 km wide. In the east of the Jordanditch there is desert terrain. 200 000 Bedouins live there although there are just a few oasis. The mountain-country of Giulead is up to 1000m high. The most important town of this area is Irbit. The mountain-country in the South is not that high and there are more villages than in the North. The most important town is As Salt, which lays near Amman.
