View from Mount Nebo into the Jodanditch

The most impressive surface in Jordan is the Jordanditch. It’s limited by high mountains (up to 1000-1600 m). The ditch is 410 km long and between 6 and 12 km wide. In the east of the Jordanditch there is desert terrain. 200 000 Bedouins live there although there are just a few oasis. The mountain-country of Giulead is up to 1000m high. The most important town of this area is Irbit. The mountain-country in the South is not that high and there are more villages than in the North. The most important town is As Salt, which lays near Amman.
